Launch of the Indoor Climate Label Field Lab: Healthy workplaces put to the test at FME at Stichting Bouwhuis

1 October 2025, Zoetermeer – An office where you don’t just work, but where your health and wellbeing are just as important as your performance. With this ambition in mind, the Indoor Climate Label Field Lab was officially launched today at the FME office, located within the Bouwhuis Foundation. Fifteen smart sensors have been installed at strategic locations throughout the building. They continuously measure air quality, temperature, light and noise – the key pillars of the Healthy Offices Specification.

The Fieldlab is a joint initiative by Binnenklimaat Nederland, the Indoor Climate Technology Knowledge Centre – the administrator of the Indoor Climate Label –, FME and the certified technology partners that issue the label. Together, they aim to demonstrate what healthy and future-proof offices can look like in practice, and how technology, knowledge and user experiences reinforce one another.

I’m glad I was able to share my knowledge and experience, which has led to a sustainable solution for our sector. It is, and always will be, a wonderful profession, but at the same time it’s one that goes unnoticed.
